58th OSEAL FORUM HIROSHIMA Excursion

During the 58th OSEAL Forum in Hiroshima, Kinki Nippon Tourist Chugoku Shikoku Co., Ltd. CHUGOKUSHIKOKU domestic planning & operation center will be supporting attendees during the excursions.
A great number of programs for day trips are prepared to enjoy the World Heritage Sites (Peace Memorial and Miyajima), the beauty of the island in the Seto Inland Sea, traditional arts and crafts, and the culture of Hiroshima. There is also a course set for 2 days with 1 night of lodging where guests may walk around the Sanin area which includes the popular Tamatsukuri Onsen and Japanese garden, and the Izumo-Taisha shrine.
The intention is to fully prepare and meet the needs of all attendees so that they may be satisfied.

1. Hiroshima city around course - Hiroshima culture trip - The Saijo Sake Brewery and handmade make-up brush experience at Kumano

[Course highlights]

Experience creating make-up brushes at the traditional handicraft workshop called Kumano Fude in Hiroshima. You can carve your name into the brush made by yourself and take it home.
Walk around the brewery and enjoy eating famous Bishunabe at one of Japan's 3 major breweries, Hiroshima Prefecture's Saijo.
 The local cuisine of the Saijo Brewery, Bishunabe, is a simple seasoning of sake with salt and pepper.
 The alcoholic content has been removed, so those who cannot drink can enjoy eating too.

The main tourist locations in Hiroshima City (Hiroshima Castle, Hiroshima Peace Memorial, etc.) can be seen from the bus.

[Course highlights]

This course is for experiencing the islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
You can go for a walk on Okunoshima, the famous Rabbit Island. It also holds a dark history a location where poison gas was produced.
Looking out Ikuchi-jima and Omishima Islands of the Shimanami Kaido, the highlight of the Tatobi Islands, and enjoy the beauty of all the islands.
At Ikuchi-jima island, you can tour the Kousanji Museum, nicknamed "West Nikko."
 Lunch will be a set of individual trays using octopus, which is famous in the Seto Inland Islands.

3. Hiroshima western area course - Visiting History - One of Japan's three most famous bridges Kintaikyo Bridge of Iwakuni and the World Heritage Site Miyajima.

[Course highlights]

Visit the wooden bridge representing Japan and is aiming to become a World Heritage Site, the Kintaikyo Bridge.
On the Nishikigawa river which the Kintai Bridge crosses, enjoy eating lunch on a boat that serves the local sake of Iwakuni while viewing the autumn leaves.
The boat that serves local sake is an excursion boat that floats on Seiryu Nishikigawa river, where one may enjoy the local cuisine and sake of Iwakuni.
It is an all-you-can-drink with 5 Iwakuni local sake breweries, which are famous worldwide (Gangi, Gokyo, Kinkan Kuromatsu, Kinsuzume, and Dassai).
At the end of the trip, enjoy a stroll around the World Heritage Site, Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine.

7. Trip to the famous Tamatsukuri Onsen - Experience the eternal Izumo-Taisha shrine and a beautiful Japanese garden

[Course highlights]

Visit of the Izumo-Taisha shrine during Kamiarizuki, which means "the month with deities". November is said to be the month where Shinto's eight million gods from across the land gather at Izumo Taisha for a meeting.
Izumo-Taisha shrine is also famous for 'en-musubi', which means uniting a relationship. It enshrines a god of marriage and good relationships.
Visit the Adachi Museum of Art, which holds works of the Japanese painter, Yokoyama Taikan. It is a popular museum for not only its collection of works, but also because of the beauty of its garden.
Lodging will be held at the famous Tamatsukuri Onsen.You will be staying at Japanese Style rooms or Western Style rooms with bath and toilets for 2 guests at Tamai Bekkan Hotel. (In case of 1 guest, we will ask you additional fee; JPY15,000.)
The next day will be a visit to Yushi-en, another famous Japanese garden. We hope you enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves of the garden.
In Matsue, you will be able to rent and wear a traditional Japanese kimono and enjoy a stroll along the old streets of the city.
Next is a ride on an excursion boat to enjoy a tour along the canal around Matsue Castle.
Lunch for the 1st day is scheduled to be Izumo Soba and lunch for the 2nd day will Tai Meshi (sea bream and rice).

Changes and Cancellations
